Power Line Foes Found Not Guilty
BUFFALO, Minn. - UPI - Nineteen power line protesters were found not guilty Monday of trespassing at a construction site on the controversial high voltage power line in central Minnesota.
One of the 19 was Dean Reed, 40, a singer-actor popular in Soviet bloc nations.
Last week four leading Soviet composers appealed to President Carter to secure the release of Reed, who sang a protest song at an Oct. 29 rally near Delano and was arrested with others who are fighting the 400,000 volt line, scheduled to go into operation next spring.
