Dean Reed llega a Chile... ¿LO DEJAREMOS IRSE?
El atrayente cantante norteamericano que llegara a Santiago el Sabado 18 de Marzo, y tomara te con diez lectores de "ECRAN" nos envio desde Estados Unidos la letra de las canciones que lo hicieron famoso en Sudamerica, y tambien las que grabara proximamente. Con una sencillez extraordinaria, Dean copio personalmente las canciones y anoto con su puño y letra algunas observaciones a proposito de ellas.

En carta a nuestra revista, Dean Reed amplio las informaciones de su gira por Sudamerica, confirmando que estara en Santiago de Chile del sabado 18 de marzo al Lunes 20. De modo que diez afortunados lectores de la revista podran tomar te con Dean Reed, el Domingo 19, a las 17 horas en el Hotel Carrera. Queriendo dar el mayor tiempo posible a los lectores para enviar sus cupones al Te, no publicamos hoy todavia la lista de los diez seleccionados. Como en ocasiones similares, el año pasado, estableceremos comunicacion directa por telefono o telegrama con los lectore que resulten sorteados y a ellos personalmente les indicaremos los ultimos detalles del Te. En su carta el cantante norteamericano confirma las fechas de su gira anunciadas la semana pasada por cable. Esto es, llego a Rio de Janeiro, Brasi, el 10 de marzo; el 12 viajo a Brasilia, capital de ese pais; hoy 14 esta actuando en Sao Paulo; el 15 viaja a Buenos Aires; el 18 a Santiago de Chile (llega a las 11:20 de la mañana); el 20 (parte a las 18 horas) sigue a Lima Peru; el 23 va al Cuzco. El 24 d marzo Dean Reed inicia el regreso de su gira, repitiendo las mismas ciudades, de modo que volvera a pasar por Santiago a fin de mes. En nuestra capital hay varias emisoras interesadas en contratarlo y es posible que se concreten presentaciones especiales de Dean Reed a su regreso de Peru. Su breve estada en Santiago, a partir del 18, y que es apenas de dos dias, esta destinada a saludar al publico chileno, que tanto lo ha apoyado desde el año pasado, y a asistir al Te para Diez de revista "Ecran" al que fue invitado especialmente.

The handsome North American singer will arrive to Santiago next Saturday, March 18th and he will have a tea party with 10 of our "ECRAN's" readers. He sent us from United States the lyrics of his songs that made him famous in South America as well as the new ones that he will record soon. With an extraordinay simplicity, Dean copied with his own handwriting the lyrics of the songs and noted down some comments about them.

In a letter sent to our magazine, Dean Reed expanded the information about his tour for South America, confirming his two days stay in Chile, from Saturday March 18th until Monday the 20th. Ten lucky readers of our magazine are going to have this Tea Party with Dean Reed, Sunday the 19th, at 5:00 PM in the Hotel Carrera. In order to give more time to the readers to send their coupons, we are not going to publish today the list with the 10 selected ones. Like previous occasions in the past year, we will contact the winners directly by phone or by telegram to give them the details. For the "Ecran" readers who can't be in the draw because they live far away from the city, we will have "consolation prizes" consisting of pictures autographied by Dean Reed. We will draw this pictures among the ones sending the coupons for the Tea Party with Dean Reed. Due to the significant interest that his visit has created among the chilean young people, we will draw many of his pictures. DEAN REED'S TOUR: HE WILL GO AS FAR AS PERU
In his letter, the North American singer is confirming the dates sent to us last week by cable. This is as follows: He arrived to Rio de Janeiro Brasil, March the 10th. The 12th, he went to Brasilia the capital. Today the 14th he is performing in Sao Paulo; the 15th goes to Buenos Aires; the 18th Santiago de Chile (He arrives at 11:20 in the morning); the 20th (he leaves at 6:00 PM). He continues his trip to Lima, Peru; the 23rd he will be in Cuzco. March the 24th Dean Reed ends his tour visiting the same cities above mentioned, so he will be in Chile again, towards the end of the month. In our city there are several radio stations interested in hiring him. And there is a possibility to make some special presentations once he is back from Peru. In einem Brief an unsere Redaktion gab Dean Reed uns weitere Informationen zu seiner Tournee durch Südamerika. Er bestätigte, dass er vom Samstag, den 18. März, bis Montag, den 20. März in Santiago de Chile sein wird. Zehn Leser unserer Zeitschrift werden das Glück haben, am Sonntag, den 19. März, um 17 Uhr im Hotel Carrera mit Dean Reed Tee zu trinken. Wir wollen unseren interessierten Lesern noch mehr Zeit geben, ihren Tee-Kupon einzusenden, und veröffentlichen deshalb die Liste der zehn Auserwählten heute noch nicht. Die ausgelosten Leser werden wir wie bei ähnlichen Gelegenheiten im vergangenen Jahr direkt per Telefon oder Telegramm über ihr Glück informieren und ihnen die letzten Details zu der Tee-Veranstaltung mitteilen. TOURNEE VON DEAN REED: ER WIRD BIS NACH PERU KOMMEN
In seinem Brief bestätigt der US-amerikanische Sänger die Daten seiner Tournee, die vergangene Woche bereits telefonisch angekündigt worden waren. Am 10. März kam er in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien, an, am 12. März reiste er in die Hauptstadt Brasilia. Heute, am 14. März, tritt er in Sao Paulo auf. Am 15. März wird er nach Buenos Aires reisen. Am 18. kommt er nach Santiago de Chile (wo er um 11:20 Uhr ankommt). Am 20. um 18 Uhr setzt er seine Reise nach Lima, Peru, fort. Am 23. fährt er nach Cuzco. Ab 24. März wird Dean Reed die Tournee noch einmal in umgekehrter Richtung mit den gleichen Städten absolvieren, so dass er Ende des Monats noch einmal nach Santiago kommen wird. In unserer Hauptstadt gibt es mehrere Verleger, die daran interessiert sind, ihn unter Vertrag zu nehmen, und möglicherweise gibt es dazu konkretere Informationen, wenn Dean Reed aus Peru zurückkommt. Während seines kurzen Aufenthaltes in Santiago ab 18. März, der nur zwei Tage dauert, will er das chilenische Publikum grüßen, das ihn seit dem vergangenen Jahr so sehr unterstützt hat.
