Dear Robert and Kathy -

Thanks so much for the information, loving letter and for the pins - which my son Alexander (age 16) is already wearing to school)!

You both can be very proud of the work which you are doing. I know that it is not easy in America - and that is why I respect and admire you both. I think that even though that the military industrial complex of course is not thinking for one minute of limiting their powers or their profits, there is a historical moment in history where we can all try to educate the American people about the Soviet people and the other socialist countries. Continue your important work.

Did you see my interview on Entertainment Tonight on the 8 of March? I havn't seen it, but heard that it was not bad. We filmed it in Moscow. Mike Wallace was here and shall show the interview in the USA sometime in April. We shot about two and a half hours of material, of which I think I won about 75 percent. But of course since he needs only twenty minutes, it is still possible that he can do a smear job on me. My friends in America warned me not to do the show, but I feel that when one does have the chance to talk to 130 million Americans, one should try to take advantage of it. Maybe one or two truths will get through the censors! I sang Yiddishe Mama to him - and he cried!!! I doubt if they show that part!!!

Give my love and a kiss to the little one. Tell her that I shall never forget the moment when she gave the flowers in Minneapolis. Take care of yourselves and each other.
